Overview
After having spent 18 years inside the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) assigned to some of its most complex and sensitive labor matters, Christina now brings that insider’s knowledge to her clients in the firm’s Labor Management Group where she regularly advises clients on union-related issues, including collective-bargaining, union organizing campaigns, and the day-to-day challenges that occur with an organized workforce.
Christina was a Senior Trial Attorney at the Board who led over 670 unfair labor practice and representation investigations, litigated more than 50 cases with 17 going on-the-record, and further litigated Section 10(j) proceedings in federal court.
Today, Christina has widened her traditional labor law lens to also include drafting Affirmative Action Plans according to regulations published by the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) for veterans and persons with a disability. Additionally, Christina regularly defends clients before various federal and state administrative agencies, leads sensitive workplace investigations, provides daily employment law counseling, and conducts trainings. Her experience spans a wide range of industries, including construction, franchising, hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing, education, logistics, and service-based businesses. With appearances before the NLRB, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Illinois Department of Human Rights, mediators, federal court, and at the bargaining table, clients who come to Christina for their traditional labor law needs leave having relied on her for a full-service labor and employment law experience.
Christina earned her BA and MPPA from Mississippi State University and her JD from Hamline University School of Law, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Hamline Journal of Public Law & Policy. She is admitted in Illinois and Wisconsin and before the Northern District of Illinois’s trial bar. She is a member of the National Association of Parliamentarians, serves as a parliamentarian for a local nonprofit, and regularly volunteers as a judge for the William E. McGee National Civil Rights Moot Court Competition hosted by Mitchell Hamline School of Law. While at the Board, in 2023, she founded Region 13’s Leadership Wellness Summit, an annual, half-day CLE-program that addresses mental health, work-life balance, and career development for federal employees. That Summit was the first of its kind for the Agency and earned Christina the NLRB’s inaugural Honorary Award for Excellence in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility.
In short, Christina’s practice is grounded in results as demonstrated by the below published decisions from her time in private practice and while serving first-chair as a prosecutor at the Board.
- Infusion Management Group d/b/a The Signature Room at the 95th and The Signature Lounge at The 96th, 374 NLRB No. 125 (2026), successfully defended against Region 13’s Motion for Default Judgment that violated her client’s rights of due process, resulting in the subsequent dismissal of the Amended Consolidated Complaint, withdrawal of the Notice of Hearing, and the withdrawal of Case 13-CA-328071.
